RAPID PROTOTYPING by KAISER 3D provides high resolution rapid prototype parts using the Objet PolyJet http://www.objet.com/ Rapid Prototyping 3D printers. We take 3-Dimensional Stereolithography files, slice them into 2-Dimensional bitmap images and print one on top of the other in 16 micron (.0006") high resolution layers in an additive process called Rapid Prototyping. Polyjet rapid prototype parts have superior surface resolution compared to other rapid prototype systems on the market. The number one compliment of PolyJet prototype parts is the surface quality nearly resembles the computer design image. Preparation of the rapid prototype parts used as master patterns for molding applications is minimal and is the strongest suit of a PolyJet prototype. PolyJet rapid prototype parts are made from hard acrylics, flexible acrylics, or flexible rubbers. The rapid prototype can then be used for: Design analysis; silicone or urethane molding master patterns; functional testing; casting patterns; or end product plastics tooling prototyping. Toolmakers compliment the PolyJet rapid prototyping technology because of the extremely low RMS surface quality that eliminates tooling marks when used in the lost wax process.
